Hello Kitty Cake and Cupcake Ideas

Hello Kitty has been a little girl favorite for many years. Who can resist such a huggable little kitty? If you're planning a Hello Kitty birthday party I've put together some fun Hello Kitty cake and cupcake ideas you can recreate yourself for the occasion.

Hello Kitty is such a simple, but adorable, figure to recreate in fondant or butter cream icing. She has simple features, and she's white, it doesn't get any easier than that!

• Use a Hello Kitty cake or cupcake topper.
• Black licorice, or rolled fondant colored black make wonderful wiskers.
• Black licorice candies make great eyes, or black fondant or gumpaste.
• You can roll and cut fondant for Hello Kitty's bow, or use a real bow.
• To make Hello Kitty's head as a cake, just print out a pattern on paper, cut it out, lay it on the cake and cut around it with a cake knife.

Hello Kitty is also a very easy figure to cut out of fondant or gumpaste for a cake or cupcake. Simply print a pattern, then cut it out and place it on top of your rolled fondant and cut around it. You can use small candies for her nose and eyes.

To make her bow use sprinkles, or a tiny bit of butter cream icing. You can also pipe icing, or melted chocolate to make her whiskers.
